Product Description

The new Rokinon 35mm Cine Lens is made especially for DSLR video enthusiasts, videographers and cinematographers. It features the same outstanding image quality as the standard Rokinon 35mm F1.4 lens but has the added benefits of de-clicked apertures and follow focus compatibility. De-clicked apertures means that there are no hard clicks when changing apertures and the aperture can be manually set to a very specific number (like f/1.7, f/2.8). The lens has also been constructed so that it can be easily attached to follow focus systems which are widely used by videographers. The Rokinon Cine lenses are the most affordable, high quality lenses in the market today.

5Great Prime for Video

By R. Sander

If you wanted but couldn’t really justify the purchase of a bunch of Zeiss primes, you might have stumbled across some forums and comparisons and found this lens. Just google “rokinon vs zeiss”. A lot of very positive tests are out there with most reviewers concluding that they are selling their Zeiss lens and buying 2-3 more rokinons.Based on that, I got this one. It’s exactly what you are hoping it is.Great, low light, zero noise lens.UPDATE:I did some shooting in a very dark, shadowy forest this weekend. The footage was fantastic with the limitation coming from my 5d2 and not the lens. There was zero video artifacting or compression noise. Every shot was useful and looked great. Can’t recommend this enough. Im going to get the 24mm next.

5Wow — unbelievable

By Brian A. Russell

This lens seems every bit as good as Canon L in terms of build quality and optics. So solid and smooth. I use it for filmmaking, and the de-clicked T-stop aperture wheel is awesome. It has built in gears so is made to work with a follow-focus, but performs just fine as a traditional handheld manual lens. Be aware, there is no communication with the camera, but I’m a believer in going full manual anyway.

5Great lens!

By TBee

Solid, sturdy, fast, and smooth. Get this lens and practice practice practice manual focus. When you get good at it, you will capture some amazing footage!
