Product Description

Digitally Optimised (DG) Filters EX DG filters benefit from Sigma’s multi-layer lens coating, developed to counteract the highly reflective characteristic of image sensors. With older style filters, light would reflect off the image sensor, bounce off the lens and filter elements and re-enter the image sensor, creating a ghost image. The multi-layer coating dramatically reduces this effect. In addition to this, an optimum, neutral colour balance is ensured, increasing the white balance accuracy of the digital camera. Circular Polarizing Filter This type of Polarizing filter has a large diameter and it also deepens the intensity of blue skies, eliminates glare. It not only reduces the reflection from non-metallic surfaces, but also increases colour saturation perfectly

Great filter

The filter is crystal clear and works perfectly. I would put this against any of my B&W filters any day.It’s funny, I ordered this as I needed a 72MM pol filter in a rush and I couldn’t find a B&W 72MM in stock at that time. I was going to “settle” for this until I could get a B&W to replace the sigma filter. I have since purchased three other sigma filters and love them all.Great filter at a good price.

Perfect for the Sigma 10-20mm

Purchased this filter to go on my Sigma 10-20mm wide-angle Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras and it works perfectly. This filter was designed with this lens in mind or at least it would appear that way. Vignetting is minimal. Great unit.

A most helpful polarizing filter!

In addition to being a circular polarizer, appropriate for use on autofocusing cameras, this one has a highly grip-friendly TEXTURE. Polarizers must be rotated while on the lens, and this texture make a simple thing like rotating the filter EASY instead of frustrating!The filter is well multi-coated and does not produce reflections – so it will not weaken the optical performance of the lens.I will seek out (at Amazon) Sigma brand filters in the future, and recommend them.
