Product Description
The new Rokinon 85mm Cine Lens is made especially for DSLR video enthusiasts, videographers and cinematographers. It features the same outstanding image quality as the standard Rokinon 24mm F1.4 lens but has the added benefits of de-clicked apertures and follow focus compatibility. De-clicked apertures means that there are no hard clicks when changing apertures and the aperture can be manually set to a very specific number (like f/1.7, f/2.8). The lens has also been constructed so that it can be easily attached to follow focus systems which are widely used by videographers. The Rokinon Cine lenses are the most affordable, high quality lenses in the market today.

I just purchased this lens along with the 35mm t1.5 also from Rokinon, and I have only one word “Amazing”It’s not truly a cine lens, it is a modified and adapted version of a photography lensto make it work as a “cine lens type”Construction is good, the image quality is prettyawesome but the biggest advantage is the price.Just waiting for my BMCC to arrive and hook this baby on!

By Ryan
What can I say, this is great. The quality is very good. I’ve used a wide range of Canon L glass: 17-40, 24-70, 70-200, 135, and even have a 200 1.8. This lens has great bokeh, the 1.5 aperture is amazing for video, the gear rings are perfect for video, very useable for photo. Fully manual is also perfect for video, and still very usable for photo. I rarely use auto exposure, and for portrait work always use manual focus as well. This should be in every DSLR video kit.

By Tim K.
I have to say, I use the Carl Zeiss Lenses and the Rokinon has better depth and a more cinematic feel. DO NOT bother spending 4,000.00$ on a Zeiss Lense. The Rokinon 85, 35, 24, 14 mm lenses are by far the best Lense for your money. The new Canon Series are nice and the Zeiss p2′s are Ok, but I actually prefer the Rokinon’s by far. Buy a Rokinon and you will see the Difference. The Shallow depth of field is outstanding.
